During the past year the Give Back Garden was a success, food was shared throughout the community. A variety of groups helped with the planting, weeding, and harvesting. There was a suggestion that next year we use an "adopt a row" for weeding etc. where a person, family, or group would be responsible for a certain area of the garden. We also discussed planting trees strategically around the garden to assist as a wind break.

The status of the Stained Glass Windows was discussed, this will be further reviewed at the Annual Meeting on February 5th.

An update on the Helping Hands of Christ program was reviewed. We are in the process of reviewing programs already established at other churches as well as analyzing our current membership to determine how this program may best benefit our congregation and community.

We reviewed the Energy Savings efforts currently under way in changing out light bulbs to more efficient fixtures. A sheet was distributed on the estimated savings of this project.

Each committee was asked to review the financial information for 2011 and make updates as necessary for the 2012 budget numbers.

Quilters News

Bethlehem quilters shipped 81 quilts for use by needy folk around the world. We reserved a few for local distribution. The following people have contributed many hours to produce the 81 quilts - Cloe Rehdantz, Betty Biech, Thelma Hurd, Bev Johnson, Angie Buchholtz, Francine Ballard, Joan Meister, Dorothy Waldo, Ann Ciske, Marie Rohrbacher, Karolin Boaz and countless other who have bags of goodies that end up in our quilts.

Many thanks to all, for your dedicated labor making these quilts. I'm sure there are many warm thoughts when those needy bodies are warmed by these quilts.

We can always use more yard goods, bed sheets, gently used blankest, etc. We will not be quilting during the month of December; starting up again the first Tuesday in January.
